Their are 6.9 billion people across the world and millions of people suffer from everyday. So, scientist needed away to have crops grow quicker, in larger quantities, and to withstand a variety of conditions.

The Green Revolution was known as a myth, it was known as a “miracle seed.” This seed was suppose to increase grain yield which would then increase crops. This was known as the key, basically the problem solver to end world hunger.

Crops can be grown in a large scale, Make plants which are resistant to pests and herbicides. Can replant things without letting it die, can grow almost any crop anywhere without it dying and farmers can export/  grow crops that are cheap for large profit.

Large groups of crops are unnatural, GMO's are not able to reproduce they are sterile. By constantly replanting crops without restoring soil health means that more fertilizer is required to replenish nitrates. GMO's have created controversy over birth problems in children.

Overall, having these "miracle seeds" has helped but hurt people in today's world. These seeds were suppose to end world hunger, but ironically has also increased it. Through research people are looking for  method to really end world hunger. Though these seeds cause major defects towards the Earth's soil.

There are different places that a person can donate to contribute to the underlining cause of world huger. The Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa is starting the second Green Revolution they want to start back up with the original idea.
